Restaurant Review: Harvest Community Foods
I'm always looking for some new Ramen places to try. My husband found this place, probably searching online and came across this place. Harvest Community Foods is located in Chinatown or Strathcona area in Vancouver (243 Union St, Vancouver, BC V6A 2Z7). When we first walked in, it was different as it didn't seem asian/Japanese. The owners were Caucasian. I found out more about this place and learned that they started as a grocery and local foods shop.
There are Udon and Ramen bowls. Most expensive Udon/Ramen I've ever ordered. Taste is average; not the best and not the worst I had. The toppings were soft-boiled eggs, vegetables, radish, pork shoulder, and candied bacon. I shared a Ramen bowl with my son. I like the chili oil. It's' not too spicy. First experience wasn't so good as I found a piece of plastic wrap in my noodles. The people are friendly though. There aren't many tables so this is better for small groups or individuals.
My rating: 3.5
