Hollywood's Celebrities & Sports Stars Launch New Lifestyle Co.
Hollywood’s hottest celebrities and sports legends have partnered with 24 year old Junglecents.com founder, Sameer Mehta, to announce the launch of a new lifestyle/culture site and product subscription service, 12SOCIETY, which launched on June 12th, 2012.
The six celebrity co-founders/style board include:
- Blake Griffin (Los Angeles Clipper Power Forward & 2010-2011 Rookie of the Year)
- Nick Cannon (Actor, comedian and host of NBC’s "America’s Got Talent")
- Tim Lincecum (Starting Pitcher for the San Francisco Giants)
- Michael Strahan (Former NY Giants Defensive End)
- Kevin Love (Two-Time All Star Power Forward of the Minnesota Timberwolves)
- Nas (Platinum Def Jam Recording Artist)
"We have a unique opportunity where America's favorite athletes and entertainers have come together to form this once in a lifetime experience for all users to enjoy,” says 12SOCIETY Co-Founder, Mehta, about the style board, “Every celebrity was picked based on their style, knowledge, and intuition in the space."
12SOCIETY gives subscribers access into the lifestyles of favorite athletes, entertainers, musicians and thought-leaders. For $39.00 a month, members will be mailed a box filled with 4-6 premium products in tech, fashion, apparel, athletics, and more that the 12Society style board has hand picked and actually uses. In addition to a monthly package, the 12SOCIETY blog (http://blog.12society.com) leverages an easily accessible and interactive medium to connect subscribers directly to their favorite celebrities and athletes. Each co-founder will provide an inside, exclusive and honest look at what propels, inspires and engages them.
12SOCIETY comes out of a problem that many brands not only want to get the attention of the 18-35 year old demographic, but want to get them actively engaging and shopping. Investors such as the founders of Groupon, Beachmint & MeetCharlie.com have already signed on with seed money.
With the owners of Groupon, Beachmint & MeetCharlie.com providing the first round of seed money, 12 SOCIETY comes out of a problem that many brands not only want to get the attention of the 18-35 year old demographic, but want to get them actively engaging and shopping. At 24, Sameer has already sold his first startup JUNGLECENTS.com, an online deals site that focuses on national and ecommerce brands, to billionaire businessman & owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban.
Disclosure: I did not receive any products nor was paid for this post. Any opinions expressed in my review are my own personal and honest thoughts. No other compensation was given.
