Vancouver Yaletown's Candytown Holiday Festival [Photos & Recap]
It was a wet, rainy weekend - typical Vancouver weather, but it didn't stop us from going out. On Saturday, Nov. 26th was the fifth annual Candytown Holiday Festival (Vancouver's outdoor Christmas event), but it was my first time attending. This was a one-day event where vendors, food trucks and entertainers come together to celebrate the holiday together with the community in Yaletown.
My thoughts: If it weren't for the rain, I think it would be a lot busier. Many people were with umbrellas and some were taking cover in the covered areas by the shops. I was hoping to see more Christmas items from the vendors though. My favorite vendors were the ones with cute little Grinch Trees, baked goods, and handmade Christmas ornaments.
We spotted the Nintendo Pokemon trailer near the end of the street on the other end of the festivities. My son was excited when he had the chance to test out and play with the new popular Nintendo game, Pokemon Sun and Moon.
