Recipe: Delicious Lemon Bars
Here is an easy to make recipe for lemon bars. This is one of my favorite desserts. It's so delicious!
Lemon Bars
Serving: Makes about 24 bars
INGREDIENTS:
Crust/base:
1-1/2 cups flour
2/3 cups icing sugar
3/4 cup butter, cold
3 eggs
1-1/2 cups sugar
3 tbsp flour
3 lemons, rind grated and juiced
2 tbsp icing sugar, for decoration
PREPARATION:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) Combine first amount of flour, icing sugar, and butter. Work your fingers until crumbly. Press evenly in one 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes and place on a rack to cool.
3) Beat the eggs, sugar, second amount of flour, lemon rind, and the lemon juice together.
4) Pour over cooled base and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
5) Sift icing sugar over and cut into bars.
