Event Recap: Frogs in the Park Harvest Festival

Originally posted on Frog Hollow Community Connections Blog (I am also a blog contributor for Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House).

I want to mention about the annual Harvest Festival at Clinton Park during the summer at the "Frogs in the Park" program as well as sharing some latest photos from this year during late August. What a warm and sunny day it was. For me, it was pretty relaxing.

It was a fun event with many activities including the vegetable contest, a visit from the Hastings-Sunrise Community Policing staff and volunteers, dancing, live music with the Carnival Band, crafts, free watermelon slices, and much more. It was also the perfect place for the kids to have fun in the playground.

Someone even brought in a couple of chickens and the children loved it!

The watermelon was really sweet and juicy!

Near the end of the celebration, winners of the vegetable contest were announced. Everyone else who participated in the vegetable contest gets a small prize.
