See Mix Drink - A Guide to Mixing Cocktails

A refreshingly simple guide to crafting the world's most popular cockails

By Brian D. Murphy

Have you tried mixing a Mojito? What about a Rusty Nail? Or a Cosmopolitan? With See Mix Drink, the first-ever cocktail book to offer instruction through info-graphics, making the drinks you love at home is as easy as, well, See, Mix, Drink.

This unique, illustrated guide graphically demonstrates how to make 100 of today's most popular cocktails. For each drink, color-coded ingredients are displayed in a line drawing of the appropriate glassware, alongside a pie chart that spells out the drink's composition by volume for intuitive mixing. No other cocktail book is this easy or fun. Instantly understandable 1-2-3 steps show exactly how each drink is prepared, and anecdotes, pronunciation guides, and photographs of the finished drinks will turn newbie bartenders into instant mixologists.

I love cocktail drinks and I've always wanted to learn how to make them or mix my own. While looking through the book, I was impressed by the quality of the hardcover and the high quality images that included with each recipe. There is a quick reference guide for gathering the ingredients and barware/glassware necessary to begin mixing.  Brian Murphy also describes in detail about The Spirits: the origin, alcohol content, as well as the list of popular brand names.

The book contains clear and easy to understand visual instructions. Any time I want to mix up some new drinks (that I haven't tried), I'll always refer to this book.

Brian D. Murphy is a cocktail enthusiast, a designer, and a recovering investment banker who lives in Minneapolis, where he can frequently be found mixing drinks for friends and family. His favorite cocktail is the Old Fashioned.

See Mix Drink can be purchased at online at Amazon.com or other various retailers.
