Winter Waxing - Why It’s Important

As the temperature continues to drop each week, we are inevitably becoming a little bit lazier (gasp!) with our typical beauty routine. Let’s face it, now that the motivation of tiny bikinis and warm summer afternoons has passed, our normal waxing routine and smooth-skin-dreams passed too.

However, did you know though if you prefer waxing as a hair removal method, it is crucial to keep up with your regular waxing routine even if you’re in hibernation mode? Noemi Grupenmager, founder and CEO of Uni K Wax Centers notes that, “maintaining regular waxes year-round will benefit you in the long run because waxing weakens the hair follicle, causing hair to grow back slower, lighter and thinner over time.” Plus, she shares, “dry, winter hair is more likely to break when waxing, causing it to grow back faster and thicker, so you want to keep skin hydrated and healthy (ie. drink lots of water and exfoliate regularly.)” Uni K Wax Centers’ all-natural elastic wax is ideal for sensitive skin and formulated with natural beeswax and pine tree resin full of essential oils to hydrate, exfoliate and moisturize skin – super important in the cold winter months.
