Vancouver's New Port Mann Bridge

Photograph of the new Port Mann Bridge, which is still under construction, with the old Port Mann Bridge just behind it. The main span of the new bridge is supported by 288 cables. Expected completion and opening will be in December 2012. When it is complete, the new 10-lane bridge (the widest in the world!) will mean five lanes, including one HOV lane, in each direction and a three-metre wide multi-use path for pedestrians and cyclists.
