emerginC Scientific Organics: Spirulina Toner Review

I was given the opportunity to try the Spirulina Toner from emerginC's new product line, Scientific Organics. Scientific Organics is paraben-free, petro-chemical free, synthetic fragrance-free, with minimum of 70% organic ingredients in every item.

The Spirulina Toner is a gentle toner for all skin types to refresh, nourish and re-balance skin. It tones, removes dead skin cells and prepares skin for better product absorption. The main ingredient is Spirulina, a blue-green algae found in fresh water that's packed with amino acids, minerals, rhamnose, trace elements, and enzymes. Other ingredients are Kombucha, grape stem cells, glycerin, green tea, white tea, aloe vera, maritime pine bark extract, horsetail, and ared algae.

To use: gently apply with cotton after cleansing. It gives a nice refreshing feeling and I can feel my pore tightening. I also really like the light fragrant and it's not too overpowering. Unlike other toners I've used, Scientific Organics does not have that "alchohol" scent or burning feeling. It cost about $30 for the Spirulina Toner, but you get what you paid for. From my previous experience, any toner product under $20 are not the best ones (especially if you have sensitive skin like me). As the product claims, it is suitable for all skin types. It's gentle on my skin. The bottle uses a pump dispenser so it's easier and convenient. Then you can control the amount to use on the cotton pad without over spilling.
