World Trade Center 9-11

Brief summary of the Tuesday morning of September 11, 2001 attack: Four passenger jets were hijacked by 19 terrorists from the Islamist miliant group al-Qaeda. They intentionally crashed two of the planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Both the towers collapsed within two hours.

It was a day with dark memories of fear and horror of the fallen, but the most importantly is the remembrance of those who took their lives saving others and helping each other. I was not in New York when the attacked happened, but was constantly listening to the news at home in Vancouver, Canada. I did visit the city a few years later and went to look at the site. It made me felt emotional and almost brought tears to my eyes.

The above pictures are not mine. They were posted publicly on the internet. Credits to the photographers who took these amazing shots.
