Professional Teeth Whitening

My teeth looked like it was stained, so I made an appointment with my dentist and decided to get my teeth whitened professionally. Of course, it costed a little bit more than what you buy at the store on the boxes of Crest Whitestrips.

I used to use the Crest whitening strips, but those don't seem to work effectively for me. There wasn't much noticeable changes or improvements. Also, it doesn't get all my teeth covered.

I am currently using the Opalescence Whitening Kit provided by my dentist. The dentist first takes an impression mould of my teeth for the custom tray. This would whiten the teeth more evenly.

I was planning to take before and after pics, but the accuracy isn't perfect due to poor lighting. Here is a chart I have used to show the change after 2 weeks. I went from 3.5-M2 to 1-M1.5 (that's about 6 shades whiter). That is a big difference. Now I have great looking whiter teeth just in time for my friend's wedding for the coming weekend.

  5. I used Opalescence a while back and it was too strong for me. My teeth became very sensitive and it got worse so I stopped using it. I find Go Smile whitening toothpaste very effective. I'm a tea drinker so I don't expect my teeth to be pearly white but at least not banana yellow.

  7. I'm a big coffee drinker and I have used many whitening products but they didn't whiten my teeth to my satisfaction. A friend who regularly visits his dentist (Bloomington, IL based) recommended him for my next dental visit. So, I went to his office for cleaning and asked him for the best whitening kit. I am using Opalescence for a week now and I can already see the improvement. I can't be any happier with my teeth.

I'm seeing my new dentist (Bloomington clinic) again with my daughter this time. By the way, I love reading your blog, I'm your new follower from now on!

  8. Hi there! Keep it up! Thank you so much for sharing this interesting and informative post! You have such a great idea about this. This could help me out if I'll apply it to my business. I'll be looking forward for your other posts as well. Commercial whitening products intended for home use include gels, chewing gums, rinses, toothpastes, among others.[8] The ADA has published a list of accepted over-the-counter whitening products to help people choose appropriate whitening products. Their smiles are often even brighter when they leave because of our focus on dental aesthetics.
