Disney+ Lifts Off, Ushering in a New Era of Entertainment from The Walt Disney Company

First Slate of Disney+ Originals Premiere Alongside Extensive Collection of Library Titles From Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and More, Including “Avengers: Endgame,” “Avatar,” and 30 seasons of “The Simpsons”

Disney+ App Now Available Across Mobile and Connected TV Devices

Disney+, the highly anticipated streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, launched today in the U.S., Canada, and The Netherlands. With nearly 500 films and 7,500 episodes of television from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more, Disney+ is the exclusive home for some of the world’s most beloved stories as well as a robust slate of original content ready to be discovered.

As part of the launch, the service premiered its first original series and films including “The Mandalorian,” the epic first-ever live-action Star Wars series; “Lady and the Tramp,” a live-action re-telling of the 1955 animated classic; “Noelle,” an original holiday comedy film starring Anna Kendrick, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” the all-new scripted series set at the real-life East High featured in the blockbuster film franchise; “The World According to Jeff Goldblum” docu-series from National Geographic; “Marvel’s Hero Project,” which celebrates extraordinary kids making a difference in their communities; “Encore!,” executive produced by the multi-talented Kristen Bell; “The Imagineering Story” 6-part documentary from Emmy and Academy Award-nominated director Leslie Iwerks; short-form series “Pixar IRL” and “Disney Family Sundays;” and animated short film collections “SparkShorts” and “Forky Asks A Question” from Pixar Animation Studios.

Beginning November 15, most new episodes of each series will premiere on Fridays at 12:01 AM PST/3:01 AM EST.

Global Rollout

Today marks the beginning of the global rollout of Disney+, with expectations to launch in most major global markets within its first two years. Available now in the U.S., Canada, and the Netherlands, Disney+ will launch next week in Australia, New Zealand, and Puerto Rico on November 19.

In Disney+’s “Lady and the Tramp,” a timeless re-telling of the 1955 animated classic, a pampered house dog and a tough but lovable stray embark on an unexpected adventure and, despite their differences, grow closer and come to understand the value of home. Life is good for Lady, an overachieving American Cocker Spaniel who resides in an upscale suburban neighborhood. Her owners, Jim Dear and Darling, spoil her daily and her neighbors, Jock, an outspoken Scottish Terrier and Trusty, a world-weary Bloodhound, are always within barking distance. But when a baby enters the picture, Lady is no longer the center of attention, and the arrival of cat-loving Aunt Sarah only complicates matters. Lady soon finds herself alone on the streets in an unwelcoming part of town. Fortunately, Tramp steps in, and the streetwise mongrel is quick to teach her the ways of the world. Before long, the prim and proper pure bred and the fast-talking mutt are partaking in moonlight strolls in the park and romantic spaghetti dinners by candlelight. Tramp savors the independence of a world without leashes or fences alongside his roguish friends Peg and Bull, but Lady misses the comfort and safety of a family, and soon both must decide where – and with whom – they belong. Disney-Pixar's “TOY STORY 4” DVD Review & Giveaway


Just when you thought the 3rd sequel was the final, Pixar announces Toy Story 4 about 9 years later. I was nervous about the storyline. It actually turned out quite brilliant!

The following review may contain spoilers. If you haven't seen the film yet, you can skip this post to the end for the giveaway or read at your own risk.

So, the toys are now passed down to from Andy to a little girl named Bonnie. It was Bonnie's first day of Kindergarten. Woody decides to keep an eye on her and sneaks into her backpack. Bonnie was nervous and a little uncomfortable in a new environment at first. She tries to make a new friend but she was ignored. While Bonnie is distracted, Woody starts tossing random items like a plastic fork, pipecleaners, popsicle sticks and crafty scraps on the table by Bonnie. Bonnie notices the supplies and creates "Forky".

The film continues when Woody helps Forky to realize his identity and his importance to Bonnie. The family goes on a road trip and somehow Forky gets lost behind. Woody was destined to go out and bring him back.

Along the way while trying to locate the family’s camper, the toys encounter enemies, reunite with old friends, made new friends and save themselves from the villain. Gabby Gabby, the villain, is a doll with a broken voice box. She wants to go after Woody to replace hers. In the end, she just wanted to be played with and Woody helps Gabby Gabby get noticed by a lost and scared little girl at the carnival.
