ökocat Natural Wood Cat Litter {Review}

Healthy Pet is the parent brand of a new collection of all natural cat litter called ökocat. This litter offers pet parents an eco-friendly, super absorbent, and natural odor fighting option made from pine wood and paper pulp. I had the opportunity to try it out in my cat's litter box and received all 4 formulas: Natural Pine, Natural Wood (Clumping), Natural Wood for Long Hair Breeds Clumping, and Natural Paper (Dust Free).

Natural Pine Litter - is free from chemicals, dyes and other synthetics. Its soft cracked pine pellets are easy on cats’ paws and have been lab-tested and proven to absorb more than 5X their weight in liquid and control odor for 7 days. Its strong absorption power inhibits bacteria growth for a cleaner home while leaving a fresh natural pine scent. It has the added benefit of being biodegradable for flushable disposal. ökocat is naturally light weight and comes in a smart compostable package with an easy carry handle and pour spout.

Before hearing about ökocat natural wood cat litter, we used silica crystals. I'm glad I switched because ökocat litter actually covers up the bad smell and it absorbs much better. And plus, it's eco-friendly. My cat, Momo, was curious about it when I changed it one day, but it didn't bother him at all.

I first used the Natural Wood Clumping. Then I tried Natural Wood Clumping for Long Hair Breeds. Both are easy to scoop. What I first noticed was that it sticks onto the waste and covers around it. No dust and no mess outside the litter box after Momo done his thing. I'm quite pleased with the results.
