Book Review: "The Lost" Written by Sarah Beth Durst

"It's a thriller, a fairy tale nightmare, and a romance all in one, unlike anything else and impossible to predict. I could not stop reading!" - New York Times bestselling author Laini Taylor on Conjured

Have you ever wanted to escape your life, your responsibilities and your problems (even if only for an hour)? That was Lauren's plan as she drove off into the desert and discovered she was trapped in the city limits of Lost. As you read further in this book, you'll find that it is quite engaging and entertaining.

Award-winning author Sarah Beth Durst has been praised for her captivating novels that merge the darkly imagined with very real themes of self-discovery and destiny. In The Lost, we will explore the place where all missing things go -- luggage, keys, dreams and even people -- and somethings, where they're found.

In the book, when Lauren tries to escape, impassible dust storms and something unexplainable lead her back to Lost again and again. The residents she meets there tell her she's going to have to figure out just what she's missing — and what she's running from — before she can leave. Scared and anxious to get home, Lauren has to dig deep to find what she is missing or remain separaed from her mother forever. So now Lauren's on a new search for a purpose and a destiny. And maybe, just maybe, she'll be found….
