This week marks the return of the much-anticipated CBC Toque Sessions. This free concert series returns to the CBC Vancouver Broadcast Centre on Thursday, January 23 at 7:30pm with performances from Canadian country pop-singers Hayley and Jess Moskaluke, and Friday, January 24 at 7:30pm with indie-pop group The Belle Game.

About the Artists:

Hayley and Jess Moskaluke - Thursday, January 23
Fender recently named Hayley "#1 of the Top 10 Guitar Goddesses" in country music. Lately touring with Chad Brownlee and Dierks Bentley, Hayley describes her music as "rockish, popish country" and fans agree. Hayley will launch her debut album of great original tunes "I" at the CBC Toque Sessions.

A small town girl from Langenburg, SK, Jess Moskaluke has collective YouTube views just shy of 20,000,000. With signature stilettos, long dark rocker-chic hair, and rich, edgy vocals, Jess has certainly attracted attention. Her song "Go Big Or Go Home" was featured on CBC TV's hit Heartland in 2012, and she was named Saskatchewan CMA Female Vocalist of the Year in 2013. Jess will preview her new album (spring 2014) to be called "Light Up The Night" at the CBC Toque Sessions.

The Belle Game - Friday, January 24
The music of Vancouver's dark indie pop band The Belle Game is layered, it ebbs and flows, but remains infectious and hooky. Last year, they played SXSW, released a new orchestral pop noir album and did both European and North American tours. Named one of Radio 3's 10 Key Artists of the year, they sold out the Vogue Theatre in December.
