Bird Photography: Parrots, Eagles and Other Birds

It was fair weather during the weekend and decided to head out for some bird photography. Saturday went to visit the Bloedel Conservatory at Queen Elizabeth park. There is a fee to look around inside the dome. The Bloedel is dedicated to the wonders of the natural world with an emphasis on plans and birds. It is a bit humid inside and my camera lens got really foggy. When not taking photos, it was best to keep it covered with the lid to keep it from fogging up again for the next picture-taking.

On Sunday, Hubby and I went out for a drive to the Boundary Bay Provincial Park (Centennial Beach) in Tsawwassen to see if we could catch any glimpse of owls and bald eagles. We got a few of the eagles, but we weren't close enough for a crisper image and had to do a major crop. I'd love to get my hands on a telephoto lens longer than 200mm one of these days.
