Westcoast Road Trip Day 7: Los Angeles/Anaheim, CA

At about 7:15am, we left Salinas to go to LA.  We continued driving south on Hwy 101.  We saw a lot more farms on our way along the road and saw a group of farmers. At Exit 231, we got onto Hwy 46 east towards I-5. It was the quicker route, as our GPS tells us.  There were a lot of cows and hilly areas on this route. There were even cows on top of the hills.

Gas prices are quite expensive here compared to Oregon.

At around 10:30am, we've finally connected to the I-5 Hwy.  We stopped for lunch at about 11:30am at Denny's near Ft Tejon. And then back on the road again at 12:10pm.

At 1:30pm, we finally arrived in LA. All of us were a little bit exhuasted from the long road trip ride. Wow, there was a lot of traffic (with 4-5 lanes on each side)!  The roads were also bumpy, just like the ones in San Francisco.

We went to check out Knott's Berry Farm before heading to our hotel. We walked around the Markets and took a few photos.

At dinner time (6:30pm), we met up with my friend in Monterey Park/Alhambra and had Chinese food. It took a while to get there and traffic still bad. After dinner, we went back to our hotel and just in time to catch the fireworks. We were able to see it very clearly from our hotel. I took photos and even captured some on video.
