Westcoast Road Trip Day 6: Monterey Bay and Salinas, CA

This day, we left San Francisco at around 8:30am. It was another beautiful sunny day and it was going to be another hot day.  We picked up some bottled juice and my allergy medicine before heading out to the highway. We could've driven 7 hours straight down to LA, but we have already booked the hotel at Salinas.  Since we will have some extra time, we planned to head southwest towards Santa Cruz and down to Watsonville & Monterey to check out the coast and beaches.

Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Carmel-by-the-Sea

On our way towards Monterey, there were some farms we past by as well as some boats.  At 11:15am, we arrived in Monterey and had lunch (pasta and fish & chips) at one of the restaurants at the Monteray Bay/Cannery Row.

The area reminded me of Crescent Beach area in White Rock back home.  We just walked around a bit and checked oit the shops. There was an aquarium, but we didn't go in.

At 1:45pm, we were on the road again, heading to Salinas, CA. On our way, we went to check out the Farm and saw little baby chickens and bunny rabbits. The farm was big and there was a store beside that sells fresh fruits.

Our little Brandon was still sleeping so daddy carried him.  We also drove out to see the small zoo nearby. There wasn't much to see. There were only few horses, a camal, llamas, and goats -- more like farm animals.

We arrived in Salinas at about 3:00pm and walked around the big mall (Northridge Mall) before checking in at our hotel. There's a lot of farm land here in this city.
