Recipe: Apple Cheddar French Toast Sandwich with Ham courtesy of T-fal

I was just told that October is National Apple Month. So many activities happening this month! Do you have a favorite apple recipe? Thanks to T-fal, they are sharing this scrumptious recipe for an Apple Cheddar French Toast Sandwich with Ham. Sounds really good! This recipe has the perfect combination of sweet and savory and makes for an irresistible brunch favorite.

4 servings / preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

8 slices of cinnamon raisin bread
4 slices of ham
1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
4 slices, Cheddar cheese
3 eggs, beaten
1/3 cup milk
2 tbsp. maple syrup
A pinch of salt

Preparation:

Layer 4 slices of bread with ham, apple and cheese; top the sandwiches with the remaining bread. Whisk the eggs with milk, maple syrup and salt. Dip each sandwich into the milk mixture for 5 seconds or until lightly saturated.

Turn the grill on and select the sandwiches program and press ok. Once the purple indicator light has stopped flashing, place the sandwiches on the grill and close the lid.

Cook in batches, until the indicator light has changed to red. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve with additional maple syrup on the side.
