Get Lost in Reality with the Actress Heating Up the Small Screen this Summer

The breathtakingly beautiful breakout star of NBC’s hot new show “Siberia” (premiering Monday, July 1st at 10PM ET), Miss Universe Runner-Up, Model & Cover Girl, Entertainment Producer, Philanthropist and “rumored” new cast member of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Joyce Giraud is heating things up this summer in the drama series “Siberia” about a fictional reality TV show where 16 contestants are dropped into the remote Siberian territory of Tunguska where bizarre and terrible events begin to occur (think “Lost” meets “Survivor”), playing ‘Carolina,’ a Colombian refugee coming out of hiding from the drug cartel that murdered her parents to compete to win money necessary to save her ill uncle’s life.

Just two weeks after moving to Hollywood following the success of her acting debut in the leading role of ‘Dona Flor’ in a modern version of the classic CORALITO TIENE DOS MARIDOS, Joyce landed a starring role in “Good Vs. Evil” (USA NETWORK), followed by a co-starring role in “The Freddy Soto Project,” a featured role on “The Suite Life of Zach and Cody” (DISNEY), and as a regular on the hit series “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.” In addition to her work on the small screen, the Puerto Rican-native has ignited the silver screen where she has proved her versatility, strength and undeniable appeal working alongside Eric Roberts & Michael Jackson in the feature film MISS CASTAWAY, showing her softer side as ‘Claudia’ in LATIN DRAGON with Gary Busey, fulfilling one of her childhood dreams appearing with Lynda ‘Wonder Woman’ Carter in SLAYER, and most recently in David Fincher’s THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO with Mara Rooney and Daniel Craig. Joyce was a correspondent/host for several versions of E! Entertainment Television’s “Wild On” series, and has been featured on Access Hollywood, Extra and ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT. Joyce has also hosted various internationally televised specials and concerts.

After being discovered in the drive-thru of a KFC restaurant, Joyce quickly became an international top model with countless national and international magazine covers & commercials, including the lead role in a national Coca-Cola commercial campaign directed by Bryan Singer, and was named “Best New Star Model of 2000” by the nationally televised talent show “Destination Stardom.” An accomplished beauty queen, after being crowned 1998 Miss Universe Puerto Rico Joyce placed 2nd Runner-Up in the Miss Universe Pageant; in addition, Joyce won the 1994 Miss World Puerto Rico, 1996 Queen of the Atlantis International, and 1997 Miss Venus International competitions. Recognizing the great platform that pageants provided her, Joyce launched the QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE Pageant last year, an international beauty pageant without the restrictive rules in regards to marital status, motherhood, and sexuality accompanying other competitions, to provide women with an opportunity to promote their charity work and build a platform to materialize their dreams.
