Another year has come on our anniversary day. It was August 28th and a perfect day. I didn't know what to get P, but I picked up a 6" fancy blueberry mousse cake and a slice of taro cake. We hate half the cake already as you can see in the pic. Sorry for the poor lighting. No natural sunlight since I live in the basement. :(

As always, P wanted to surprise me and buy me something. I've already told him not to spend on buying me anything and that a nice dinner was all I want. To my surprise, he got me a beautiful pair of earrings from Birks. It was a pair of Roberto-Coin hoop earrings with diamonds around.

At dinner time, we went to the Revolving Restaurant. P never tells me where he takes me and I usually find out when we get there. Anyways, the food was great and the view was beautiful. We had the Escargot for the appetizer, P had the New York Steak, and I had the Duck Trio.

Fine continental dining at 553 feet (167m) for an unobstructed view of Vancouver, the coastal mountains and the ocean. Windows specifically angled for maximum viewing of the city below. One revolution completed every 60 minutes.

After having dinner, we went for a nice walk around Canada Place. I missed a few nice photo moments because my camera battery died. Here are some photos for you guys. Enjoy!

Hi everyone! Some of you may have already know or heard about a cosmetic line called Hard Candy, which are exclusively sold at Walmart. I wear make-up but have not tried their products. When I first discovered their cosmetic line online, I was captured by the name and their fancy designs. I was given the opportunity to test them out and share with you my review.

I received the following:
1) Button Your Lip - Ultra wet lip gloss with lip liner
2) Hot Smudge - Eyeliner/eyeshadow duo in Rocker Chick #289
3) Just Nails with a ring to it - Nail enamel in Envy (aqua/green color)

They have a wide selection of shades and colors and various makeup products, and wish I could try other ones. It's cool. I love trying new things.

The lip gloss is a brush on push button pen and glides on very smoothly and made my lip look soft. Many other ones are twist. This is very clever with fast click if your other hand is holding something else. It has a very pretty, natural color too. This I can wear every day.

The duo eyeshadow is also nice. There are 2 color palettes (one green like emerald and one black) and comes with the two-sided applicator/brush. The Duo cream eyelinder/smudge shadow is housed in long, sexy case. It's everything you want in a cream eyeliner but more precision than a pencil and more forgiving that a liquid. The ultra-creamy formula offers more control, playtime and coverage than typical liners. I usually wear warm colors (such as bronze or brown or smokey grey), but this is a bit of a change. I can easily match it with my turquoise top that I already have.

The matching color nail polish goes well too. It has a bit of shimmer in it. The nail polish came with a matching color ring made of plastic. The long-lasting, chip-resistant polish ensure flawless results with each application, and is DBP (toluene and formaldehyde free).

BUY IT

As mentioned, you can purchase Hard Candy at your local Walmart stores. The entire collection is super affordable and fabulous and average cost around $6.00.

I recently discovered these nutritious freeze-dried fruit snacks called Funky Monkey Snacks. A fresh-tasting, freeze-dried snack that delivers great flavor and FRUIT THAT CRUNCHES! I was given the opportunity to review the products and received one of each flavor. Too bad we don't have any stores that sell them in Canada. These snacks are quite good and convenient for people who's always on-the-go. It's great for kids too as they make fruits fun to eat.

The packages are sealed in foil packs to keep in the freshness. It's like eating chips or candy, but healthier stuff. What I like about the Funky Monkey Snacks is that it has no added sugar and is all natural. Great for the whole family! This is also great for the kids for their school lunch packs.

Facts:
- 100% Natural
- 100% Real Fruit
- 100% Delicious
- No sugar added
- Gluten Free
- Peanut Free
- Vegan
- Raw Food
- Kosher
- GMO Free

They are available in several different flavors:
- Bananamon (banana with cinnamon)
- Carnaval Mix (variety)
- Jivealime (pineapple with lime)
- Purple Funk (banana with acai)
- Applemon (apple with cinnamon)
- MangOJ (mango with orange juice)
- Pink Pineapple (pineapple with guava)

The Bananamon, Jivealime, and Purple Funk are 100% Organic. Pink Pineapple is 95% Organic, and Carnaval Mix is 70% Organic. My favorite is the MangOJ and the Carnaval Mix. Brandon likes any that contains the bananas and apples.

I was given the opportunity to review the Battleship Keychain, thanks to Tomoson and WholesaleKeychain. Just like the original Battleship game, the Mini Battleship Keychain has the same battle stations with ocean grids and battleships. The mini Battleship keychain contains 2 small battleships that snaps into the small holes and stays in place. The box lid opens up. When you're not playing the game, it can be easily closed for storage. Because of the very small parts, the manufacture recommendation is for ages 8 years and up.

The idea of this portable mini Battleship game keychain is great for traveling (road trips) and for entertainment while waiting for a long dentist's appointment or doctor's appointment, or even while waiting for the bus. There are many other mini keychain games available to collect. They are also cool and fun accessories.

BUY IT: You can purchase the Battleship keychain from Amazon.com or directly from the website at WholesaleKeychain.com.

WIN IT: One lucky reader can win the same Battleship Keychain of their very own! Chosen winner will be selected via Random.org. Visit their website at WholesaleKeychain.com and tell me in the comment below which other keychain games are your favorite. This is a mandatory entry.

I finally opened up the BestWay inflatable swimming pool that I bought last year from Toys-R-Us. Setting it up wasn't very hard. The only other thing you need to get is an air pump, which we didn't get last year in the first place.

The BestWay Splash and Play Transparent Sea Life Pool is made of sturdy and pre-tested vinyl with extra wide side walls and safety valves. The pool has three equal rings. It measures 195cm x 53cm and comes with a repair patch. The pool can contain water with capacity of about 768L (203 gallons). It's quite large and has room for the whole family to cool off and bounce around.

This past weekend was the opening of the PNE (Pacific National Exhibition) which started Saturday, August 21, 2010. It was the 100th year celebration. We went on Sunday because it was free gate admission for that one day between 9am and noon. The PNE opens daily from August 21 - September 6. It was supposed to rain that Sunday, but the weather held up.

There was obviously a lot of traffic and lots of people. Since we live nearby, we still had to drive as it was still a ways to walk. I saw all these cars heading up northbound on Renfrew Street and took us a while to get out of there, even near our house.

We parked our car over at our grandma's house and walked a few blocks over to the venue on Hastings & Renfrew. I think this was baby Brandon's first time at the PNE. He enjoyed the view and saw a lot of different things. We didn't go on any rides tho because he was still too small. There were kids rides, but we skipped that as well.

Hubby and I went back to the PNE after dinner since we had our hand stamped to get in again for free. Baby Brandon stayed home while his grandparents babysat. We went back to the Marketplace to look at more since we didn't get to see everything in the afternoon. I was so tempted to get the steamed floor mop, but I didn't get it. There's a lot to share on what we experienced, but you can visit the website at http://www.pne.ca to read more. I've taken some photos here so you can see what it was like as well as what we saw.

Some food we bought for snacking on: Those Little Donuts and Wiggle Chips.
