Bao Chao Vietnamese Food

Another lunch day at Bao Chao Vietnamese Restaurant. We are regular customers there and we love their food. Well, I'm a fan of Pho noodles and I'd recommend this place. The service is fast and friendly. I ordered my usual: Lemon Grass Chicken Pho and the coconut drink.

Utherworlds

I have just read about the upcoming release of Utherworlds from Ballistic Publishing. The previews were absolutely amazing and I decided to pre-order my copy.

Description taken from the website: "Ballistic Publishing is excited to launch a large-format fantasy graphic novel based on the Utherworlds universe created by Philip Straub. The ambitious project spanning six years of production tells the tale of Lucas Sellers and his journey into The Realms where the forces of hope are pitted against ultimate evil. Utherworlds combines a fully-fledged novel with written and spoken languages, maps, and stunning paintings with hidden messages that provide layers of detail not seen in other graphic novels."

Great work here, Philip!

French Manicure

I did this French Manicure a while back when I bought Avon's dry nail enamel product. I'm still selling Avon stuff, btw. This lasted me 3 weeks. Yes, these are my REAL nails. I don't like using fake ones cuz it doesn't feel natural. My sis says that I'm really good with nail polish so I occasionally do her nails for her. I ordered the gel nail stuff and the UV lamp. I'm excited to try out gel nails at home; can't wait.

Thanks to EverydayShopper, I've been inspired into doing nail art again. Kinda fun. I just need the time.

Mini Origami Stars in a Bottle

Hand-crafted mini-sized paper origami stars in a mini icewine bottle. Can you guess how many little stars are in the bottle?

Since some of you have asked, I will create a tutorial for the origami stars soon.

Play Room Re-organized

The re-organizing of the playroom/video game room is almost complete. It was originally my brother-in-law's little entertainment room, but we have now claimed the space as we need it for our little growing family. The room is also downstairs (between our livingroom/kitchen and computer room). Might as well claim the entire basement. Baby Brandon now has more room and space for his toys for his play time. I also decide to leave the television so we can have an extra play space with the PS2 and Nintendo consoles. Until we move out to our own place to live, I won't be cleaning out everything yet.

The photos are a bit blurry as it was roughly taken with my camera phone. Taken from left to right:

Wisdom Teeth Removed

I finally survived the weekend after having my wisdom teeth removed. My dentist appointment was supposedly late June, but they changed it on me because the dentist had plans. I had 2 top wisdom teeth that was needed to be taken out, and I was a bit nervous. I wasn't put to sleep during the process so I was wide awake. The dentist numbed my gums of course. The whole procedure only took 20 minutes. Not too bad. The actual pulling out of the tooth took about a minute or less.

For these few days, I was on rice congee diet or anything that is soft to eat. After 4 days now and my gumes are still swollen. It hurts; not painfully pinching hurt, but feels like it's bruised hurt. It'll get better over time.

Fan Art / Game Art

Most of you might have seen some of my fan artwork from other art community sites. Thought I'd add it here as well. I am taking commissions if you like me to draw/paint your favorite World of Warcraft character. I am a big fan of WoW. Do you play? You can find me as "Blitzenburg" the Mage & "Kyrinah" the Death Knight on Arygos server (Alliance). I'm hoping to do more fan art soon.

This fanart is of model Natasha Yi. I created her as a fantasy character.

Mouse Found Alive on Mouse Trap

Just got back home from having dinner at the parent's this friday evening and saw a little mouse stuck in the mouse trap inside our garage. Instead of using the usual mouse trap that snaps, we use heavy-weighted sheets that has a super-sticky side. It's great for catching spiders and bugs. Eew! Did I mention I'm afraid of spiders?

The little mouse was still alive and slightly struggling to get free. At the same time, it looked like it's been there a while and it was just laying on its side. I thought it was interesting to see and decided to take some photos.

Arachnophobia

a·rach·no·pho·bi·a - n. An abnormal fear of spiders.

Spiders are one of the few insects I fear. Anybody else afraid of spiders too? I think they are creepy looking creatures. I had this fear since I was a child. This topic came to mind because I was doing some cleaning of the room and re-organizing to make space. I haven't come across a lingering spider yet, but this just crossed my mind.

I remember that one time (long time ago) I screamed so loud and ran out of the room. It was in the morning when I woke up and saw a big spider crawling across the blanket right in front of my eyes. I knew I wasn't dreaming. I saw it and immediately I jumped off my bed, frightened -- frightened of where it would've end up if I was still asleep. Ahhh! Horrifying! Everytime I see a spider, I would get the same reaction.

Origami Roses in Mini Glass Jars

I've been doing origami stuff on and off. Now I have started to have these cool ideas and took the time to create it. I couldn't sleep so I did this early in the morning. There were so many mini jars I've been saving, but didn't know what to do with them at first. Good thing I've kept them.

These are handcrafted Origami roses enclosed in mini glass jars with dimensions of 3" high and 2.25" in diameter. Makes great gifts for wedding, birthdays, anniversaries, or any other occasion. Available for sale at my Etsy Store. Colors available: yellow, blue, red, pink, purple, orange
