Welcome Brandon to our World

My due date was September 29th, 2008, but something happened on the friday morning of September 26th. My water broke and I knew I was in labor. I could feel small contractions and I had to call my doctor so she could see me right away on how far along I was. My husband called in work to take his day off so he could be with me.

Brandon Jordan Yuen was born September 26, 2008. My husband and I were thrilled about being first time parents. I couldn't believe I am a mom now. It was the best thing ever when Brandon came into our world. Details about him:

Born: September 26, 2008 @ 11:58pm

Florida Trip

Back in Vancouver from Florida 2 weekends ago. It's cold and raining in Vancouver. I miss the warm weather there. Got sunburn already, but I did put lots of sunblock and also bought a whole case of bottled water. We did a lot of driving for the first few days. Places we went to include Nopi carshow in West Palm Beach, Sea World, Kennedy Space Center, Universal Studios, and Walt Disney World. The sun/heat was beating me down. I don't mind long walks.. it's just the sun and the heat that was making me exhausted.

It was mid-Spring, a perfect time for a vacation. My husband and I love to travel and explore different places. We booked our flight to Orlando, Florida and made an itinerary of our visit. Also, we rented a car so we can get around places quicker. If you aren’t familiar of the city, I would suggest bringing a GPS system. That’s what we did and that helped us a lot.

Don’t forget to bring sunscreen and bottled water because the theme parks are huge and it was exhausting. I didn’t mind the long walks, but it was just the sun and the heat beating me down. There are benches around and concession areas to sit and rest.

On our first day, we went to the NOPI car show. There were lots of show cars, peformances, and drift competitions. The carshow is definitely way bigger than the ones we see in Canada.

Here's a video slideshow I made. There weren't really as many show cars as we thought there would be as the one we saw in Phoenix, AZ.

The next day, we went to check out Sea World. There were a lot of nice displays and great shows to watch. Our most favorite was Shamu, the killer whale performance. We sat further back because we didn’t want to get splashed with our cameras.

The second day, we went to Universal Studios. It was amazing to see so many different exhibitions and the unique architecture designs.

For the rest of the week (we had a week vacation), we bought a 3 day theme-hopper pass at Walt Disney World.  Did you know Walt Disney World is the largest vacation resort in the world? Because the theme parks were so huge, you won’t be able to see everything in a day.  There are shuttle buses and the monorail that take you from park to park.  There are 6 different theme parks at Disney World: Magic Kingdom Theme Park, Epcot Theme Park, Hollywood Studios Theme Park, Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Blizzard Beach Water Park, and the Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.

Our original flight back home was cancelled. It was with American Airlines. Lucky saw the email, but got it the night before. We had to call American Airlines to find an available flight back on the same day. They referred us to Northwest Airlines which takes us from Orlando to Minnesota; and then Alaska Airlines to San Francisco to Vancouver. That's 2 connections, but it'll get us home, tho it will be later that same night. That zig zag route home was horrible. Total of 10 hours flight. I had jet lag for few days. But overall, our trip was awesome!

Our trip to Florida was incredible.  We had a great time and definitely will go there again and bring our son.  It’s a great place for vacation for kids and adults.

Donations - Jennie's Education Fund

Make a Donation

Thanks for browsing through my donation info. As most of you know, tuition can be very expensive (and then there's textbooks on top of that). My dream is to become a professional game art designer. I plan to go back to school and improve my artistic skills, and I am doing this all on my own. And with all these other bills to pay for my living, it's barely impossible; I'll never get this chance. This is a very expensive program, so I am hoping to raise some tuition money towards this education through your kind donations.

I am still accepting commissions to help with my funds.

Gift in Return:
For every donation you contribute, you will receive an autographed 8x10 print of your choice from my art gallery. This will be my gift to you as a Thank-You. Minimum $5 donation to receive your free autographed print.

How to donate:
I accept PayPal. You can click on the link here or the button link above.

Please help Jennie with her education funds and send her to School for Game Art Design to become a professional Digital Artist. Help make this dream happen.
